Do not purchase the 2009 VW Tiguan SE. I purchased the car in April 2010,however the sunroof has leaked on the passenger & driver side. The airbag covers are not secure to the car due to the current repair attempts. Dec 20, 2010 the passenger seat caught on fire and...Read more
I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta with a 4 year 50k mile warranty. August 2010, two weeks after the 4 year warranty expired, my check engine light came on. At this time I only had 34k miles well under the 50k. I ran the code and it specifically said that the cooling...Read more
Originally, we bought our Volkswagen Touareg in Canada. It is a 10 cylinder diesel SUV with twin turbo chargers on it (one on each side). Within the first few months, we began to have some oil leaking into the air intercooler from one of the turbos which was diagnosed...Read more
Volkswagen Of America in Athens, Georgia - VW Beetle (2003)
The 2003 VW Beetle has a sealed transmission and no dipstick. The transmission fails after the 50K warranty expires. The auto, after 20 minutes of driving begins to buck, and cannot efficiently increase speed, causing major safety issues. VW is charging $6,400 for new transmissions on these and is refusing to acknowledge that there is a problem with their design. Search the Internet and see that there have been 80 complaints filed with the NHTSA since January 1st. My car is a 2003 VW Beetle with only 74,000 miles upon it. Please contact me regarding this VW scam at 706-548-9930. Thank you, Kimberly Olson

Volkswagen Of America in Tehachapi, California - Garden Grove VW dealer put in after-market products
The snakey dealer, Ken from the Garden Grove VW dealership, kept the contract for my new Tiguan extremely vague, making it clear that someone else would be putting in the navigation/camera we had installed in a new Tiguan but didn't state WHICH navi and seats (why would a VW dealer put in anything that isn't theres, right? ). He failed to note they would also be putting in, not VW's leather seats or navi (which is all they showed us, informed us about, or even mentioned), but an after-market installer's Pioneer navi (retailed over $1000 less than the VW one) and non-VW seats. When we got the car back, unaware of this, ken proceeded to curse at my Fiance about why he should treat me like the "f-in wizard of oz" by fixing anything (there were 7 things on my new car not working because of this installer) and why he was talking to him and not me...totally getting off the topic off the car and what was done. Frankly, he was just trying to intimidate my fiance. He was of no help and got defensive like a child caught in a lie. We are currently pursuing further action, which may lead to small claimes court. This son of a ...isn't getting away with it. Run from this dealership --they are sneaky dealers who steal a buck any way they can.
I leased a new 2006 VW Passat and in less than 3 years, its been in the shop 6 times. Blown engine valve, leak sunroof, faulty steering column wiring, check engine lights and a bad battery. To make matters worse, VW customer service has been horrible and sometime...Read more
I have a 2007 VW Jetta. At 21,000 miles I had to replace the rear brake pads and rotors. I've owned many cars and never had to replace pads, let alone rotors that early. I complained but paid for repair ($300+). Less than 10,000 miles later my rear brakes are gone...Read more
