Can someone explain to me how a clutch can fail at 25,000? I have had 4 Volkswagens all with over 100k and never had to replace a clutch. Have been told that parts in the clutch were melted and there were no mechanical issues that can be covered under the warranty so...

My clutch went at 52k miles. It was replaced by previous owner at 15k miles. VW mechanic said that he had never seen this issue before. I have 60% of the clutch pads left but gear connecting to trans is stripped. VW will not warranty this. Will never buy vw again.

I own a 2010 Jetta TDI. The dealer I take the car for service to told me that while Volkswagen recommends an oil change every 10,000 miles they recommend every 5,000. I am hearing that every 10,000 miles is more than adequate. Am I being scammed?

I have a 2013 manual transmission Volkswagen CC. At only 35,000 miles, I had to have both the front shocks and both rear struts replaced. They had all failed - lost the gas from the cylinders. This cost me $1,000. After I complained to the company, VW did reimburse me...

Don't buy a radio from VW, just get an after-market one and plug it in. Cheaper.
